Eat in: Sucursal Aceitera – A tapas bar in and old Oil & Soap shop!
The other day, walking in Sant Antoni, I passed by this place. Just by its chilled looks and how busy it was, I decided I had to try it.
Located in the corner of Comte Borrell street and Parlament, Sucursal Aceitera is a Tapas Bar, and its look from the outside is already very attractive to walkers in Sant Antoni. With big, opened front windows, you can see a bit from the inside when walking by and it also lets some fresh air run into the restaurant allowing its customers to see the pedestrians walking by.
Inside, it looks like a traditional Spanish tapas bar, but with a more contemporary design, exhibiting their main tapas and accompaniments for vermouth like olives and anchovies. For those who don’t know, a vermouth is a traditional Catalan drink, that people usually have at midday before lunch, but more than a drink, it has become a tradition within people, as an excuse to get together, have some tapas and a nice chat!
Service is very friendly, prices average, and their tapas a mixture of traditional recipes and new inventions, to lick your fingers in the end!
Drink: Vermouth de la casa obviously, and a iced cold beer for a hot summer day!
